I am moving to New York, well for 12+ weeks starting at the end of May and in all honesty, I am really nervous but excited.
My New York Adventures will see me become a Fine Art Counselor (teacher, assistant, etc) on a performing-arts specialist Summer Camp through the organisation: Camp America.
Yesterday, I picked up my Visa and Passport from my nearest delivery depot and all of a sudden, everything feels VERY real. In 25 days from now, I will be on a plane to somewhere new 3,200+ miles away from home. It’s scary, to say the least.
I’ve been preparing for my new, temporary, life on Camp since January. So far I have bought all my clothes, wellies (it rains a lot apparently) and bug-spray (it’s essential), which is arguably a good start. However, there is still a lot more to get ticked off the list before I fly on May 31st.
On a side note, as you can imagine, travelling in America will bring new opportunities for my blogging life. I’ve been fortunate enough to be welcomed onto the Camp America “Storyteller” team for 2018 so, therefore, I shall be sharing all my Camp ups-and-downs with you all in the coming months. Also, seeing as you have all LOVED my bullet-journal related blog posts lately, there will be PLENTY more of those to come. This will begin with a Travel Journal theme starting next week, so keep an eye out for that; you won’t want to miss it, trust me!
I just wanted to stop by to let you all know about the exciting few months ahead of me and the kind of blog-content you should expect to see. Right now, on with the regularly scheduled list!
Did you see these three blog posts? They have been SUPER popular this week; catch-up here:
- What is Self-Care and why is it so important?
- How to find your more productive successful self!
- 101 Bullet Journal Ideas you CANNOT live without!

It will be good to see exactly what it involves, I am excited but super-duper nervous about the whole thing. I’ve got high expectations but we will soon find out!
I am so TOTALLY jealous you are heading to New York. It has to be one of my favorite cities. What an incredible experience. I am looking forward to hearing about your thoughts and adventures. Yes to blogging material.
Thanks Brenda. I will be sure to keep you all updated and I agree, NY is the best place for blogging content and inspiration! Just the food alone is enough to win me over!
How exciting! New York City has so many wonderful surprises in store for you :) Just remember that the New York City pace may be intimidating at first, but it will come naturally to you.
While you’re stateside, I hope you take the time to visit New England, especially Rhode Island!
Best of luck on your new adventure!
I’ve already seen parts of Philly and New Jersey. I’d love to visit Rhode Island – I’ve heard lots about it!
