My 2016 New Year’s Resolutions!

Carnaby Street, London

Last year I made five New Year’s resolutions: 1) be more organised, 2) walk more, 3) smile more, 4) create a bucket list and complete it, and 5) blog more. And to be fair, I stuck to most of them except for the bucket list which technically got forgotten about after January ended… oops. I certainly became more organised, with the help of a new stationery/Filofax/journaling obsession that seemed to happen in the spring thanks to spending all my life on Instagram and Pinterest. I now own far too many washi tape rolls, stickers and stampers, oh and four Filofaxes… – but it is all toooo cute! I mean, it is hard to claim that I ‘walked more’ but I guess I probably did with moving to London as well as being sent off on blogging adventures here there and everywhere. As I said in a previous blog post, 2015 was an incredible year for me and no doubt I smiled more than usual. And well, as for blogging, a lot more of that happened! All in all, I am pretty impressed with how well I stuck to these resolutions – brownie points for Chan!

Now, I have just three New Year’s Resolutions in mind for 2016:

Be more healthy!

Now, this one is cliche and definitely something that everyone plans to do. However, since becoming a ‘student’ my diet has gradually slipped into pizza three times a week, McDonald’s 99p cheeseburgers for lunch and ready meals every other night. In other words, I eat utter junk all the time and I never feel great for doing it, never, ever. So, in order to save me both money and to improve my health, I have decided 2016 is the year I do something about this terrible habit. It is out with the chips, chocolate and crisps and in with the fruit, vegetables and fancy recipe books for me. And guess what, I might even take you along with me!

Blog even more!

I have a blog schedule that exists pretty much only in my head, and it goes: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday/Sunday. However, as you and I both know this does not play out in practice. But this year is the year for more consistent blogging! Also, I think all my blog content needs to be top notch, because if it isn’t good quality then what is the point in posting it, eh? I intend to provide you with more mini-series, infographics, advice and many, many, many more posts. Keep an eye out by subscribing to my mailing list, whereby all blog posts will be sent directly to your emails – convenience at its finest!

Focus on my degree!

I am now almost half way through my Social Anthropology degree and it is probably about time I got my head down. It is now time to start focusing on my readings, working harder on my essays and well enjoying the time I have left studying in central London. I am paying a fortune after all!

So there you have it, my 2016 resolutions (or goals as I like to think of them). What are yours? Let me know here!
