101 things to do this Summer!

101 things to do this Summer and eating ice-cream is definitely one!

It is finally summertime here in the UK and well, to be honest, it is currently raining outside (what a surprise)! The summer holidays are about to fly by but I have created a list of things to keep you entertained throughout the next 6 weeks.

  1. Go to the beach.
  2. Watch the sunrise.
  3. Watch the sunset.
  4. Eat an ice-cream (mint choc chip – yup).
  5. Munch on a sandy sandwich.
  6. Camp under the stars… without a tent, obviously!
  7. Put an all nighter.
  8. Collect seashells.
  9. Get a tan.
  10. Go skinny dipping!
  11. Wear a bikini, pfft a bikini body? Nah! Who even cares anyway?
  12. Have a day long movie marathon.
  13. Go clubbing until 4am.
  14. Go to a festival.
  15. Wear a flowery headband.
  16. Go rock pooling (and catch a crab)!
  17. Volunteer somewhere for something.
  18. Sleep until 3pm.
  19. Try something new – Exotic food? Sport? Hobby?
  20. Learn to play an instrument.
  21. Go on holiday.
  22. Fly somewhere!
  23. Draw on the floor with chalk (who doesn’t love doing that, right?)
  24. Have a picnic.
  25. Take a photo everyday for a month.
  26. Visit a boating lake.
  27. Cycle somewhere – rent a bike?
  28. Tie-dye a t-shirt (now that is the definition of ‘summery’…).
  29. Eat a watermelon.
  30. Say ‘yes’ to everything for one day.
  31. Go swimming or paddling.
  32. Jump into a pool fully clothed.
  33. Go on a nature walk.
  34. Pick some flowers or berries (not poisonous one’s (duh) because that would be a terrible idea)!
  35. Write a letter to your future self.
  36. Inspire someone.
  37. Pull a prank.
  38. Go to a concert or see a live performance.
  39. Visit a beach bar/pub/cafe.
  40. Explore somewhere new.
  41. Drink some fresh lemonade.
  42. Bake a cake or cookies – check out a recipe for Nutella cake here!
  43. Find a penpal.
  44. Send a love letter.
  45. Get a summer job.
  46. Go bowling.
  47. Watch a film in the cinema.
  48. Visit the zoo.
  49. Play monopoly (for at least 4 hours).
  50. Write a story.
  51. Read a book.
  52. Look through old photos and then make a scrapbook.
  53. Document your holidays in a journal or photo diary – I plan to do this on my trip to France in August.
  54. Donate something.
  55. Go to a fun fair.
  56. Attend a local carnival.
  57. Play hide and seek.
  58. Watch a horror movie (with popcorn, it calms the nerves…).
  59. Make something, such as a summery craft (e.g. bunting or paper flowers).
  60. Feed the ducks at the duck pond.
  61. Hula hoop.
  62. Have dinner with someone you like or love.
  63. Take your Mum, Dad, Nan, Grandad, Sister or Brother out for lunch – fun and social!
  64. Play beer pong.
  65. Have a sleepover.
  66. Paint pebbles – oh what a cute gift idea, eh?
  67. Visit a roller-coaster or water park.
  68. Eat some midnight snacks.
  69. Have ice-cream for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  70. Buy a takeaway.
  71. Get your face painted – you are never too old to have your face painted.
  72. Build a fort.
  73. Have a BBQ – although, we live in England, BBQ-ing weather means ‘a day when it is only raining slightly…’.
  74. Play twister (with some shots… it is worth it for the entertainment)!
  75. Drink a tad too much.
  76. Make some toasted marshmallows.
  77. Build a sandcastle.
  78. Dance in the rain…
  79. Swim in the sea at night (just be careful)!
  80. Stargaze.
  81. Play cards.
  82. Go to a city.
  83. Make a pizza (from scratch).
  84. Visit a market.
  85. Reconnect with an old friend.
  86. Forget the diet for a week… Treat yourself!
  87. Have a pillow fight.
  88. Bury a time capsule – open it a year, 5 or 10 years from now!
  89. Sunbathe in the park, beach or even at home in the garden… Anywhere! Just soak up some rays.
  90. Fall asleep listening to music.
  91. Use a portaloo – it has got to be done sometimes…
  92. See a shooting star.
  93. Wear something daring.
  94. Forget make-up for a day.
  95. Be more active.
  96. Learn a new skill, for example, learn to surf as after all summer is the time to do that!
  97. Catch a bug.
  98. Write a bucket list.
  99. Watch a new series on Netflix.
  100. Play your favourite song on repeat (this always happens to me, if I find a song I like then I end up listening to it for days on end…).
  101. Smile!
