Don’t Leave University Without Doing These 9 Things

University is meant to be one of the most memorable times of your life. You’ll never get this time back again, so use it wisely. It’s a time to explore, have fun, knuckle down and generally find out who you are. So, if you’re in university and you’re wondering what you should be doing with your time, put these nine things on your university bucket list.

Go to a Game

Your university has tons of sports teams you can support, and their games are probably a lot of fun. Whether you enjoy football, basketball, cricket or many more, it’s likely there are a lot of options. Not only is a perfect way to have fun but you’ll also meet people who enjoy the same things.

Take a Road Trip

It won’t always be study, study, study at university. There are a few long breaks throughout the year where you need to blow off some steam. It is one of the major perks to university – the extended holiday periods. Gather your friends, pack your bags and head off for a long weekend somewhere. What happens on tour, stays on tour.

Get Passionate

University is time to find out what you’re passionate about and there will be plenty of opportunities to get involved in protests. Angry about global warming? Protest. Want longer library hours? Protest. Need more cheese on your cheesy chips? Protest. Protesting has always been a part of ‘student life’ and I guarantee, during your time studying, there will be a protest or two. Whatever your passion might be, get involved in societies and make your most of your time at university by embracing what you really enjoy.

Throw a Party

University isn’t university without throwing an epic house/dorm party. If you haven’t woken up scared by the mess you’ve created, you haven’t lived. Throwing a party at university can be one of the wildest and craziest parties you’ll ever attend. Always live your best student life!

Pull an All-nighter

You’ll probably be awake until the early hours studying or preparing for exams, so why not do the same to enjoy yourself. Stay out until the pubs and clubs close and then watch the sunrise with some of your closest friends. These are memories you’ll cherish forever. Although, you’ll also never forget the sleepless and endless nights studying, of course.

Be Physical

Have you ever thought about doing something for charity with your friends? Going on a fun run or a colour run, doing a marathon or swimming. It’s all for a good cause and a great way to blow off steam. Exercise is fantastic for upkeeping mental health and wellbeing whilst studying; so it has huge benefits all round!

Get a Job

The most sensible thing you can do while at university is get a job. The sad thing is, so many people walk away with piles of debt. Getting a job and saving to pay off loans will mean you’ll be better off when you leave. Likewise, the student loans often do not cover all of your expenses and therefore, a job can help with that aspect of student life also. However, don’t forget that despite the debt, a university education is worth it.

Play Games

Find yourself a great beer pong table supplier and play every game in the book. From regular beer pong to drinking games involving your favourite tv shows, they’re an excellent way to spend your free time (unless you have a class in the morning). If beer pong isn’t your thing, despite it being a student favourite, then there is always cards, board games or quizzes.

Play a Prank

Have you ever seen the face of someone who’s had all their belongings wrapped in tin foil? It’s priceless. Try peeling all the labels off the cans of food your housemate bought. You could also fill their room with post-it notes on the walls or balloons. Pranks make life worth living in university. The harmless fun is never-ending, although expect your flatmates to retaliate!

What do you wish you’d done more of whilst at university?
